Major Infrastructure Projects

Government of India is developing a Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) between Delhi and Mumbai. DFC will be high axel rail connectivity with computerized control and multimodal linkages.

In order to tap the immense opportunities likely to be thrown open by the corridor, a band of 150 to 200 kilometers around both its sides is being developed as the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor (DMIC). The DMIC will span the states of Uttar Pradesh, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. DMIC is to be developed as a Global manufacturing and trading Hub of India supported by world class infrastructure and enabling policy framework.

Manesar Bawal Investment Region

In the first phase, Manesar Bawal Investment Region (MBIR) has been taken up for development. The MBIR spans across 800 square kilometers out of which 402 square kilometers is being developed initially. A Greenfield Integrated Township over area square kilometers has also been planned to be developed as a model future city within MBIR. An output of Rs 2.5 crore is expected to be generated within MBIR over 30 years, besides generating employment for 1.6 million persons. Pre-feasibility studies are also underway for Affordable Low Cost Housing, Education-cum-Health HUB AND Integrated Multi-modal passenger hub, Eco-city, Fresh water Storage & Transmission projects within MBIR.

The Airport Authority of India has undertaken site feasibility study and given its principle clearance for the proposed site. A formal application has been filed with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India for formal approval to the project, which is under active consideration.
