In order to tap the immense opportunities likely to be thrown open by the corridor, a band of 150 to 200 kilometres around both its sides is being developed as the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor (DMIC). The DMIC will span the states of Uttar Pradesh, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. DMIC is to be developed as a Global manufacturing and trading Hub of India supported by world class infrastructure and enabling policy framework.
